What is water-soluble CBD?
Water-soluble CBD is made using nanoemulsion to create CBD formulas that are more easily and effectively absorbed by the body. As a result, water-soluble CBD is dramatically more bioavailable, potent, and fast acting than CBD oil.
Nanoemulsion involves the use of ultrasonic waves to shrink CBD molecules down to “nanoparticles” that are a fraction of their original size. Due to their small size, these nanoparticles take different pathways or “shortcuts” into the body that regular CBD molecules are too large to pass through. This allows more CBD to reach the bloodstream at a much faster rate, resulting in effects that kick in within minutes, and far higher potency—even in small doses.
After shrinking our CBD nanoparticles, we use an emulsifier to create water-soluble CBD—which, as its name suggests, dissolves in water. CBD typically takes the form of an oil, yet CBD must dissolve into the bloodstream to produce effects, and our bloodstream comprises 60% water. This is why CBD oil is so often ineffective—as we all know, water and oil don’t mix.
Goldvana’s water-soluble CBD, on the other hand, is designed to absorb rapidly and with ease into the water-based bloodstream.

Will CBD get me high?
No, CBD is non-psychoactive. CBD is often confused with THC, the cannabinoid that produces the “high” associated with marijuana use. CBD, however, is not derived from marijuana — it is derived from hemp, which contains virtually no THC. CBD interacts with the brain differently than THC, and does not interact with the regions of the brain that THC stimulates to cause a “high.” This is why CBD is legally recognized as non-psychoactive, and why CBD is legal to sell across the United States, whereas marijuana’s legality is much more complicated.
Will FOCUS make me feel jitter?
FOCUS does not contain any caffeine or other artificial stimulants responsible for the jittery side-effects of products such as energy drinks. Our all-natural cannabinoids, terpenes, and adaptogens simply promote alertness and to optimize mental energy, rather than causing artificial stimulation. Even the wakefulness-promoting ingredients in FOCUS (such as the terpene a-pinene, or Lion’s Mane) are shown to simultaneously induce calm.
FOCUS is designed to deliver a calm, clear mindset, while ingredients such as L-theanine are famous for their soothing properties. Read more about how FOCUS’ ingredients work here.
Is Goldvana CBD Organic?
Although we are not certified organic, all of our ingredients are organically sourced.
What is the difference between CBD oil and Goldvanas water-soluble CBD?
Water-soluble CBD has far-greater bioavailability than that of CBD oil, making it far more potent and fast-acting. Bioavailability refers to the amount of CBD that is absorbed into the bloodstream to produce effects. Using cutting-edge nanoemulsion technology, Goldvana has created a water-soluble CBD formula that is more easily and effectively utilized by the body.
There are several advantages to using water-soluble CBD instead of CBD oil. First, because water-soluble CBD is so easy for the body to absorb, its effects kick in within minutes of ingestion, whereas CBD oil takes hours to produce effects. Second, because CBD oil has a difficult time dissolving into the bloodstream, a large percentage of the initial dose consumed goes to waste. As a result, consumers experience the effects of only a fraction of their dose. When consumers use water-soluble CBD, on the other hand, they experience the full benefits of nearly their entire dose, making water-soluble CBD far more potent in smaller amounts.
What does Bioavailability mean?
Bioavailability refers to the amount of a substance that, after ingestion, successfully reaches its destination in the bloodstream to produce its effects. Bioavailability, rather than dosage, determines whether you experience the effects of the compounds you ingest.
CBD oil has low bioavailability. Because it does not dissolve into the bloodstream, up to 90% of a dose of CBD oil goes to waste in the body without producing any benefits. As a result, consumers must take massive doses to achieve desired effects.
Because water-soluble CBD is absorbed so easily into the bloodstream, consumers receive the effects of nearly their entire dose. Consequently, even small doses of water-soluble CBD provide far more powerful effects than comparatively high doses of CBD oil could provide.
Why does Goldvana CBD have a higher bioavailability than CBD oil?
Goldvana’s CBD has a higher bioavailability than CBD oil because our formula is water-soluble. Unlike CBD oil, Goldvana dissolves in water, which has important implications for our body’s ability to utilize and experience the benefits of CBD. CBD must dissolve into the bloodstream to produce its effects, yet the bloodstream comprises about 60% water–and, as we all know, water and oil don’t mix.
As a result, CBD oil is extremely difficult for the body to absorb. Consequently, a large portion of the CBD oil initially ingested goes to waste in the body, rather than dissolving into the bloodstream to produce effects. This is why CBD oil has such a low bioavailability.
Goldvana’s water-soluble CBD, on the other hand, is designed to effortlessly dissolve into the water-based bloodstream: this drastically improves the rate at which the body is able to absorb–and experience–our formula. Once ingested, our CBD dissolves effortlessly into the water-based bloodstream, and rapidly circulates throughout our system to produce effects within minutes of ingestion.
As a result, water-soluble CBD is more potent, bioavailable, and fast-acting than CBD oil.
Can I add Goldvana to any liquid?
Yes. Goldvana’s water-soluble CBD dissolves into any beverage quickly and with a neutral taste. Simply decide which dosage is right for you, and drop your CBD into a drink of your choice.
Where is Goldvana's hemp grown?
Our CBD is sourced from hemp grown in the United States by organic farmers who specialize in cultivating plants rich in cannabinoids and terpenes.
How does Goldvana extract it's CBD?
Goldvana uses CO2 extraction, which is recommended by the Mayo Clinic as the safest CBD extraction method. Many other companies use harmful chemicals such as ethanol and alcohol to mass-produce CBD at a low cost–yet often, these extraction chemicals leave harmful residuals behind. With Goldvana, there is so such risk–our CBD is extracted by subjecting CO2 to changes in temperature and pressure.
How do I know Goldvana is safe?
Each bottle of Goldvana has an up-to-date, third-party lab test conducted by an independent laboratory, who assigns a Certificate of Analysis (COA) to all products confirmed as safe, effective, and transparently labeled. These tests confirm that our products contain no harmful pesticides or residual chemicals; that they are accurately labeled for potency; and that they contain the amount of CBD and other cannabinoids, terpenes, and compounds listed on the product packaging.
What other ingredients does Goldvana use?
Goldvana’s FOCUS and SLEEP tinctures are nutraceuticals that mix CBD with medicinal mushrooms, herbal adaptogens, and terpenes hand selected to give these tinctures their customized (energizing and sleep-promoting, respectively) effects.
How is Goldvana different than other water-soluble CBD?
The majority of “water-soluble” CBD on today’s market is not truly water-soluble. When mixed into water, these products leave a viscous, cloudy residue behind: a sign that they have not fully dissolved into the liquid.
The reason that most companies cannot create a truly water-soluble CBD product is because they do not have sufficient technology or expertise to achieve a small enough nanoparticle size. Typical water-soluble CBD products contain nanoparticles ranging from hundreds to thousands of nanometers wide, while Vana Labs’ nanoparticles average just 40 nanometers in size.
How should I choose my dosage?
Ultimately, dosage comes down to the individual consumer, which is why we recommend starting low, and moving up slowly until you arrive at a dosage that’s right for you.
